Phillip lives in Waxahachie with his wife, Britt, and two children, Zach and Molly. Phillip has been a resident of Ellis County for over twenty-five years, graduating from Waxahachie High School. He is a proud and involved member of the Ellis County community. Phillip attended Texas Tech University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Phillip earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Wesleyan University school of Law in Fort Worth graduating cum laude.
Prior to attending law school, Phillip worked for several years in commercial/investment real estate brokerage. During his career in real estate, Phillip represented sellers, buyers, tenants and landlords in connection with the sales and leasing of a wide array of properties, including: industrial; office; multi-tenant retail; raw land; and investment sales. Phillip’s work in the real estate business has given him a unique perspective on practicing real estate law, which has proven very valuable in negotiating and deal making. In addition to his transactional real estate practice, Phillip also practices in the following areas: real estate litigation; corporate/company formation and management; business law; construction law; banking, estate planning (wills, trusts and power of attorney); and probate related matters. Phillip also prepares real estate and mortgage loan documents for title companies, banks and private lenders.
Even though Phillip’s practice is headquartered in Ellis County, Phillip serves clients throughout the state of Texas. Phillip has represented clients in both state and federal courts. Phillip has also represented clients locally and across the country in connection with a wide range of transactional matters.
