CARRIE LEWIS

Carrie has lived in Ellis County her entire life, and makes her home in Waxahachie with husband Lee, who is part of another life-long Ellis County family.   Carrie & Lee enjoy attending Friday night football games and watching their granddaughters, Cidney and Cadynce perform with the Cherokee Charmers Drill Team at the Indian football games.   They can also be seen many weekends enjoying Waxahachie's downtown area or taking in a game or two watching nephews at little league baseball games.  Some of their weekends have now transitioned to traveling to Oklahoma City to watch another nephew play college football.

Carrie is active in the Waxahachie Community by serving on the Senior Center Advisory Committee, volunteering with Historic Waxahachie, Inc., serving weekly with the Mentors Care program at Waxahachie High School and been a Board Member of the Waxahachie Alumni Association since 2016. Carrie is currently serving her fourth term as President of the Alumni Association, an organization near and dear to her heart, considering she is fourth generation graduate of Waxahachie ISD.

Carrie has been a Sr. Paralegal, focused in the areas of Real Estate, Litigation and Administration, for more than 30 years.   Carrie's most memorable experience during her litigation years began in 2010 and serving as the Senior Trial Paralegal during the Deepwater Horizon / BP Oil Spill trial held in the US District Court in New Orleans, LA.  Carrie would work in New Orleans during the week and travel home on weekends to see family and friends.  Even though she has seen the movie Deepwater Horizon many times, Carrie says she finds it difficult to watch at times because she met and interacted with several of the survivors that were portrayed in the movie.

In 2019, Carrie gave up the busy Dallas work scene and returned to work in downtown Waxahachie, received her Escrow License and became a vital part of the Law Firm and Trinity Abstract & Title Company.

Carrie is a proud TLTA Individual Member, member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Area Paralegal Association.
